According to Report, this was stated by the club’s president Joan Laporta, whose comments were shared on social platform X by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Currently, Messi plays for the American club Inter Miami.

“Messi deserves a statue at the new stadium. We will prepare a project, talk to his family, and if they agree, we will be able to start the work,” Laporta said.
