Developments in the Transport and Logistics Sector
Our correspondent spoke with Muratniyaz Rasulov, a train assembler at Zerger Station of the 19th branch of the Open Joint-Stock Company “Turkmen Railways.” He shared his thoughts on the major reforms being carried out in Turkmenistan’s transport and logistics system.
In the interview, Muratniyaz Rasulov highlighted the contribution that the improvement of the national transport system makes to the country’s economic development:
— The modernized version of the ancient Great Silk Road holds an important place both in our country and in the region. The opening of new railway routes helps further improve the transport and logistics system and expand interstate trade relations, — he said.
He also emphasized that labor is highly valued, and that state awards inspire workers to take on new tasks:
— In 2011, I was awarded the jubilee medal “20 Years of Turkmenistan’s Independence.” According to the Decree of our esteemed President, on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of our sacred Independence, I was presented with Turkmenistan’s “Gayrat” medal. This was a great source of inspiration for me and motivated me toward new labor achievements, — Muratniyaz aga concluded.
During the conversation, he also emphasized the importance of ongoing projects in the transport and logistics sector, including new railway routes and the work being carried out at Zerger Station.
