“Fashion Alliance” Forum: Harmony of Beauty and Health
Oguljahan Atabaeva, Vice President of the Charity Fund, took part in the session “Being Healthy is Fashionable” of the international forum “Fashion Alliance,” held at the Tavricheskiy Palace as part of her working trip.
According to TDH, the “Fashion Alliance” international forum is an annual event dedicated to the development of the fashion industry, textile sector, and design in CIS member states. It brings together designers, specialists, experts, and entrepreneurs to exchange experience, present new clothing collections, discuss industry development trends, and strengthen business partnerships.
At the session “Being Healthy is Fashionable,” experts from the fashion industry and the healthcare sector discussed ways to integrate healthy lifestyle principles into daily fashion. Special attention was given to the speech of Oguljahan Atabaeva, Vice President for medical activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund for Assistance to Children in Need.
During her speech, Atabaeva emphasized that in Turkmenistan, care for human health is a priority of state policy. Since 1995, the State Program “Health” has been successfully implemented. Within the framework of this program and the national strategy “Healthy Mother — Healthy Child — Healthy Future,” all necessary conditions have been created for protecting people's health. Particular attention is paid to sanitary and environmental standards, food quality, favorable working, educational, living and leisure conditions, as well as to moral values and healthy lifestyle habits.
Today, Turkmenistan has signed 26 cooperation documents with UNDP, UNFPA, WHO and UNICEF, within which various projects are implemented each year. In addition, the country is developing bilateral and regional cooperation. The foundation of project activity is the five-year UN–Turkmenistan Country Program, the latest of which—covering 2026–2030—was recently adopted.
The head of the Turkmen delegation also spoke about the work carried out by the charity fund. At the end of her speech, Oguljahan Atabaeva expressed the fund’s openness to cooperation and joint efforts to develop approaches aimed at protecting human health worldwide, expressing confidence that mutual efforts can greatly contribute to achieving these goals.
