For centuries, the land of Serakhs has been one of the important centers of interaction between various cultures and peoples, embodying a rich historical and cultural heritage. The historical monuments located here highlight the most important pages of the glorious past of the Turkmen people.
Various events are regularly held to widely popularize the monuments within the territory of the "Köne Serakhs" Historical and Cultural State Reserve among the younger generation and to increase their interest in historical heritage. Such trips, organized by the Serakhs etrap Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, provide young people with the opportunity to get closely acquainted with historical values.
The regular historical and cultural trip, organized on the occasion of the year of "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of the Winged Steed", was attended by staff of primary youth organizations and active working youth.
One of the main goals of the trip was to explain the historical significance of the Great Silk Road to the younger generation, promote the importance of preserving values inherited from the past, and further strengthen the youth's love for national history.
The participants of the event visited the mausoleum of Abul Fazl, one of the historical and cultural monuments of Serakhs. Known among the people as "Serakhs baba", this famous historical structure associated with a prominent personality is considered one of the valuable examples of ancient architectural art in the region.
Young people were provided with detailed information about the history of the mausoleum, which was built in 1024, its architectural features, and its role in the past of the Serakhs region. Familiarization with the historical monument aroused great interest among the youth and helped to further increase their respect for the cultural values inherited from their ancestors.
Such historical and cultural trips, along with meaningful leisure time for young people, increase their interest in national heritage, ancient history, and cultural values. Seeing historical monuments with one's own eyes and learning about their past also has a positive impact on shaping the patriotic feelings of the younger generation.
The continuation of such events organized to the ancient monuments of Serakhs makes an important contribution to delivering our rich historical and cultural heritage to the younger generation and strengthening the understanding of its preservation.
