The regional program "SwapUp Astana," which will be held in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, will bring together young leaders of Central Asia. Youth from Turkmenistan can also participate in the program, which will take place from September 11 to 13, 2026.
The program is intended for young people aged 15 to 35 from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan. Students, young professionals, authors of public initiatives and startups, as well as other youth actively involved in youth projects, can apply. There are no restrictions on a specific profession or field of activity.
During the three days, participants will attend training sessions on leadership, technological innovations, the development of public initiatives, and project management. One of the main parts of the program will be the "Social Capstone Hackathon," within which young leaders will have the opportunity to further improve their ideas and initiatives.
"SwapUp Astana" is designed for a total of 15 participants. Fully or partially funded spots are provided for 10 of them. Financial support may include covering travel, accommodation, meals, and other expenses related to participating in the program. The remaining five spots are for participants paying for their expenses independently.
Having an IELTS certificate is not mandatory for participation in the program. However, since the training and activities are conducted in English, candidates must have a sufficient level of proficiency in the English language.
During the selection process, special attention will be paid to candidates who have participated in socially significant initiatives in the fields of education, technology, volunteering, and other areas.
The organizers aim to create a new group of young leaders interested in developing their own projects and expanding cooperation within Central Asia.
The deadline for submitting applications is August 31, 2026.
