A solemn ceremony dedicated to the 104th anniversary of the Great Victory of the Republic of Turkey was held in Ashgabat. This was reported with reference to the data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event took place at the residence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Turkmenistan. It was attended by heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, heads of international organizations, and members of the mass media.

The official part of the event began with the playing of the national anthems of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey.

Addressing the guests, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Turkmenistan, Şener Cebeci, delivered festive congratulations. The diplomat expressed his gratitude to the attendees and read out the official message of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the occasion of this momentous date.

Representing the Turkmen side, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov delivered a speech. In his remarks, he noted that cooperation between Ashgabat and Ankara in political, economic, and other areas is of a strategic and multifaceted nature.

As Ahmet Gurbanov emphasized, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey are united by friendly relations based on mutual respect, trust, common interests, and the affinity of their peoples. Mutual visits and regular meetings of the heads of the two states create a solid political foundation for the further development of bilateral cooperation.

The ceremonial event was held in a friendly and warm atmosphere, once again demonstrating the high level of mutual trust and understanding between Turkmenistan and Turkey.
