Preparations for the "white gold" season are in their final phase in the velayat. Preparing for the new harvest gathering season is one of the most important periods in agriculture. This year, too, the cotton growers of our sunny Homeland worked diligently to grow a bountiful harvest. In connection with the cotton harvest expected to kick off in the coming days, relevant organizational and technical preparations are being carried out in the velayat. In the year "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Winged Steeds," high-yielding varieties of cotton seeds were planted across 130 thousand hectares in the velayat. Along with varieties such as "S-2606", "Ýolöten-7", and "Ýolöten-39", the "Ýolöten-53" and "Garaşсызlık-30" varieties were also planted on an experimental basis. This season, it is planned to harvest 320 thousand tonnes of "white gold" across the velayat. The efficient use of modern agricultural machinery is of special importance in gathering the harvest quickly and without losses. During the season, along with high-performance machinery purchased from manufacturers in leading countries of the world, 218 "John Deere" cotton-picking combines will be deployed across the velayat. To ensure the readiness of machinery for the season, appropriate work was carried out at the velayat "Obahyzmat" production association and its enterprises in the etraps. For the coordinated and uninterrupted operation of technical means, their condition was checked, and necessary preparatory measures were implemented. Necessary conditions are also being created to receive and process the cotton harvest. Currently, preparatory work is in its final stage at 11 cotton-ginnery enterprises and 38 cotton reception points operating in the velayat. The timely and loss-free delivery of harvested cotton to the reception points during the season is also one of the main tasks. In this direction, trucks, tractors, and trailers belonging to the cotton-ginnery enterprises will be utilized effectively. During the cotton-harvesting period, special attention will also be paid to the safe organization of labor. Compliance with occupational safety rules, proper implementation of fire-prevention measures, and the creation of necessary conditions for workers participating in the season will be among the primary tasks. The large-scale preparatory work being carried out will be of great importance in harvesting the new crop on time, increasing the results of the cotton growers' dedicated labor, and successfully fulfilling the planned targets across the velayat.
