Apple has unveiled the HomeView display, designed to control smart home devices, the second-generation HomePod mini 2 speaker system, and an updated Apple TV 4K streaming box. The company has also introduced a new range of Apple Home Collection smart home devices developed in collaboration with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric.
HomeView: The Smart Home Control Center
The HomeView features an aluminium enclosure and a 7-inch Liquid Retina display. Screen brightness adjusts automatically according to ambient conditions and can range from 500 to 0.3 nits.
The tabletop version includes two wide-range speakers. Its base houses a low-frequency speaker and two passive radiators.
The device combines music playback, FaceTime calls, and smart home control in one system. Users can also control their home devices using voice commands.
HomeView can recognise up to six users by their faces. It provides personalised information for each user, including messages, calendar entries, and reminders.
The device supports the Siri AI system. However, the service is available in English only in the United States, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
HomeView comes in two versions: a tabletop model and a wall-mounted model. The tabletop version is available in silver, Starlight, pink, and Space Gray. The wall-mounted version comes in silver and Space Gray. Schneider Home mounting solutions are available for the wall-mounted model.
Pre-orders for the device are now open. Sales are expected to begin on 13 November 2026, with a starting price of US$299. Since Siri AI is not currently available in the European Union, HomeView will not be launched in that region.
HomePod mini 2: A New Chip and Enhanced Audio Features
Apple has also introduced the second-generation HomePod mini 2 speaker system. The device is powered by the Apple S10 chip and can recognise up to six users by their voices.
A new Sound Glow lighting feature has been added to the top of the device, changing in time with the music. The speaker can also be used as an audio device for Mac computers and as part of a sound system alongside Apple TV 4K.
Apple plans to add Siri AI support to HomePod mini 2 through future software updates. This feature will also be available in English in the countries listed above.
Pre-orders are now open. The device is expected to go on sale on 30 October 2026, starting at US$149. The new model will be available in pink, green, blue, white, and a dark colour called Midnight.
Apple TV 4K: A19 Processor and Smart Home Integration
The updated Apple TV 4K streaming box features an A19 processor, three microphones designed to pick up voices from a distance, and connectivity with smart home devices.
The device also supports Siri AI. In the countries listed above, the service operates in English in beta. Users with a compatible iPhone will be able to receive personalised content recommendations. For example, they can search for television programmes or films recommended by their contacts.
This is the first update to the Apple TV 4K series since 2022. Pre-orders are being accepted, and sales are expected to begin on 13 November 2026. The device will start at US$299.
Apple Home Collection: New Smart Home Devices
Apple has also introduced a new range of devices called Apple Home Collection, developed in partnership with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The collection includes indoor and outdoor cameras, thermostats, temperature sensors, a video doorbell, and a smart door lock.
Some of the new devices are scheduled to launch in December 2026, while others are expected to arrive in early 2027.
