On August 18, Turkmenistan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Qatar, Myratgeldi Seyitmammedow, met with the Executive Director of Qatar Media Corporation, Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al-Thani. The meeting focused on the main areas of developing relations between the mass media of the two countries.

During the meeting, the diplomat briefed the Qatari side on the priorities of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, the preservation of national heritage, and international events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the country's Independence. Special attention was also paid to issues related to the United Nations declaring 2028 the "International Year of Law" upon Turkmenistan's initiative.

The core of the negotiations centered on expanding practical cooperation between the two countries in the media sector. The parties discussed opportunities for developing partnership between the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting, and Cinematography and the Qatar Media Corporation.

The meeting emphasized the importance of exchanging professional experience, organizing mutual visits by relevant representatives of both countries, and jointly participating in international media forums.

According to the parties, such cooperation will help further strengthen ties between the mass media of Turkmenistan and Qatar, facilitate the exchange of professional expertise, and promote the implementation of new joint projects between the media structures of the two countries.
