Serdar Garabayev, teacher at Secondary School No. 2 in Köneürgenç etrap: The use of modern teaching methods and digital technologies in Turkmen language education creates broad opportunities for students to acquire knowledge effectively, expand their vocabulary, and combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Teaching the mother tongue as a valuable expression of a people’s spiritual world, culture and life experience is essential for passing its richness and purity on to future generations.

Various active teaching methods can be used to help students retain information learned in Turkmen language lessons for a long time. One of these is the morphological automation method. It encourages students to participate actively in lessons and pay particular attention to word structure and the use of suffixes.

With the morphological automation method, the teacher presents students with a root word. Students successively add suffixes to that word to create new word forms and then use them in sentences. As a result, they progressively learn the characteristics of Turkmen, including how suffixes are used to form words and express grammatical meanings—in other words, its agglutinative structure.

This method is important for expanding students’ vocabulary, helping them understand word structure, applying grammatical rules in practice and developing independent thinking skills. It also enables students to use their language knowledge correctly not only in theory but also in everyday conversations and written assignments.

The consistent use of modern and active teaching methods in Turkmen language education helps enrich lesson content, increase students’ interest and promote a deeper understanding of the distinctive features of their mother tongue.
