Creative competitions dedicated to Hindi Day will be held in Ashgabat on September 10.

The Embassy of India in Turkmenistan is organising a series of creative competitions to mark the National Day of Hindi — Hindi Diwas, which is celebrated annually on September 14. The competitions will be held on September 10.

The creative activities will be held in three categories. One of them will be a poetry recitation competition designed for participants who study and use the Hindi language. Participants will be required to memorise a Hindi poem or an excerpt from one and recite it expressively.

The essay-writing competition will be open to those who can freely express their thoughts in Hindi. The topic of the essays will be announced on the day of the competition.

The drawing competition is open to anyone interested in drawing. The theme of the drawings will be related to India and the Hindi language. The organisers will provide the paper required for the competition, while participants should bring their own brushes and paints.
