The visit of the delegation from the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan demonstrated a high interest in developing multifaceted cooperation between the two countries along new avenues.

The delegation was led by Erkin Tuniyaz, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party of China Committee of the XUAR and Chairman of the People's Government of the Autonomous Region. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss opportunities for expanding cooperation between Turkmenistan and the XUAR in agriculture, trade and economic relations, science, and education.

The visit of the Chinese guests began with a tour of the International Technopark of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. Members of the delegation were provided with detailed information about the technopark's activities, its structural units, and modern technological equipment that enables the implementation of research and innovation projects.

During the introduction, it was noted that Turkmenistan attaches special importance to introducing modern scientific and technological achievements into production, developing innovative projects, and expanding international scientific cooperation. It was also emphasized that scientific and technological development plays an essential role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Members of the Chinese delegation highly praised the work of the International Technopark, noting its equipment with modern scientific and technological facilities. The guests expressed gratitude for the introduction and showed interest in developing cooperation with Turkmenistan in scientific and innovative fields.

The visit shows that Turkmen-Chinese relations are not limited only to trade, economic, and energy spheres, but are also developing in new directions such as agriculture, science, education, and innovative technologies. In this regard, wide opportunities are highlighted for exchanging experience between the two parties, implementing joint scientific projects, and introducing new technologies into production.
