The Juusluoto archipelago in Finland has been listed for sale at €4.8 million. The site is attracting attention because of its historical significance: during the Soviet era, high-level closed-door meetings were held there. This was reported by MK.RU, citing the Finnish publication Talouselämä.
According to the report, Finnish President Urho Kekkonen and Leonid Brezhnev, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, stayed at the reception house on the archipelago. This has made Juusluoto known as one of the locations used for political talks in the past.
Located in the Archipelago Sea, the property comprises five islands. The prospective buyer is being offered a total of 25 hectares of land and 76 hectares of surrounding water area.
The company that owns the archipelago has been trying to sell it for two years. During that period, the asking price has fallen from €6.5 million to €4.8 million.
Distinguished by its historical background, natural island scenery and extensive surrounding waters, the archipelago is now awaiting a buyer on the private property market.
