Geely Holding Group achieved a new milestone by selling more than 3 million vehicles between January and September 2026. The group’s total sales during this period reached 3.002 million vehicles. As a result, Geely’s sales exceeded the combined sales of Audi and BMW over the same period.
Vehicles powered by new energy sources, including electric vehicles and hybrids, accounted for 1.793 million of the vehicles sold. This figure was up 12.6% compared with the same period in 2025. These vehicles represented 59.7% of the group’s total sales. Among the most popular models were the Geely Monjaro, Geely Atlas and Geely Preface.
Geely Automobile Holdings Limited, a company within the group, sold 2.235 million vehicles during the reporting period. Of these, 1.326 million were electrified models. Sales in this category increased by 14% compared with the same period last year.
The company also recorded substantial growth in exports. Between January and September, it shipped 797,670 vehicles to overseas markets, 169% more than during the corresponding period in 2025. Of the exported vehicles, 484,086 were models powered by new energy sources.
By individual brand, Geely China Star sold 873,776 vehicles, while Geely Galaxy sold 877,184. In September, Geely Galaxy also set a new monthly sales record for 2026. The Lynk & Co brand recorded sales of 196,117 vehicles. Hybrids and fully electric models accounted for 71.5% of that total.
For comparison, according to the figures provided, Audi’s sales in 2026 amounted to approximately 1.042 million vehicles, down 11.4% from the corresponding period last year. BMW Group sold 1,707,799 vehicles worldwide during the first three quarters of 2026. This was 4.9% below its January–September 2025 figure.
Volkswagen Group sales reached 6.011 million vehicles in the first nine months of 2026, a decrease of 9% compared with the same period last year.
The figures indicate that demand for electrified vehicles and international exports are playing an important role in Geely Group’s growth in the automotive market.
