Yesterday, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahatyny of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. This was reported in the "Watan" news program.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of Kazakhstan warmly greeted each other and noted with satisfaction the current high level of partnership relations between the two countries. Hero-Arkadag first expressed gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his great personal contribution to the development of traditional friendly, fraternal, and good-neighborly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan, and on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan and on his own behalf, expressed congratulations on the occasion of an important political event — the holding of the first elections of the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In turn, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people for the congratulations and kind words, and noted that he highly appreciates Turkmenistan's support and Hero-Arkadag's personal attention to the historical event for Kazakhstan — the parliamentary elections.

At the end of the telephone conversation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that traditional Turkmen-Kazakh relations will continue to develop successfully and wished well-being and prosperity to the fraternal peoples of the two countries.
