A delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin has arrived in Ashgabat on a three-day visit.

The main purpose of the visit is to hold political consultations between the foreign policy departments of the two countries.

The guests began their program at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. Sirojiddin Muhriddin and members of the delegation got acquainted with the exposition of the international exhibition-fair "Kids Expo: Everything for Children." The exhibition brought together manufacturers of children's goods and services, showcasing advanced developments in the fields of education, recreation, and the children's industry.

Then the Tajik delegation visited the Independence Monument of Turkmenistan and laid flowers there.

The members of the delegation also visited the "Magtymguly Fragi" cultural and park complex located at the foothills of the Kopetdag, where they laid flowers at the monument of the Tajik poet Sayyido Nasafi and paid tribute to him.

The program of the first day of the visit also included a visit to the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Sports Complex of Ashgabat.

The visit of the delegation of Tajikistan to Ashgabat will last until August 21.
