On November 22, the “Paris mon amour” concert programme, meaning “Paris, My Love,” will be presented at the Watan Cinema and Concert Centre in Ashgabat. The Melodiya Orchestra, led by Annoraz Dowletow, a laureate of international competitions, will introduce audiences to renowned works of French music.

The concert programme will feature classic French popular songs, world-famous compositions, and contemporary musical works. Designed for listeners of different generations, this musical evening will bring together pieces expressing emotions such as love, joy, longing, and hope.

The concert will include works from the repertoires of prominent figures in French music, including Édith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Joe Dassin, and Lara Fabian. Audiences will also have the opportunity to hear songs by Garou, Indila, and Barbara Pravi in fresh orchestral arrangements.

A distinctive feature of the programme is the combination of songs from different eras into a unified musical composition. Spanning the popular chanson songs of the last century through to contemporary French pop music, this musical journey will reveal the richness of French culture to listeners.

The musicians of the Melodiya Orchestra have prepared special orchestral arrangements for the concert. While preserving the distinctive character of the well-known songs, these arrangements will give them a fuller and more expressive sound. The pieces performed under the direction of Annoraz Dowletow will stand out for their live orchestral sound and artistic expressiveness.

The “Paris, My Love” concert will give listeners an opportunity to experience the romantic spirit of the French capital through music. Bringing together Paris’s cultural atmosphere, the subtle nuances of French music, and the impact of world-famous compositions, this artistic evening is set to become one of the anticipated events in Ashgabat’s cultural life.
