In Turkmenistan, it is planned to build new refrigeration and freezing complexes to store agricultural products and prevent their spoilage. The Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan has announced a tender for relevant design and construction work in this area.

The new refrigerated complexes are planned to be built in several velayats of the country. According to the project, refrigeration and freezing chambers designed to store 3,000 tons in Balkan Velayat, 5,000 tons in Dashoguz Velayat, 8,000 tons in Lebap Velayat, 6,000 tons in Mary Velayat, and 8,000 tons in Ahal Velayat will be established.

The total capacity of the facilities planned for construction will be 30,000 tons. Modern cooling equipment is expected to be used in the complexes for the long-term storage of various agricultural and food products under appropriate temperature conditions.

Within the framework of the tender, it is envisaged to prepare designs for the relevant facilities, supply and install the necessary equipment, and carry out construction work.

Companies wishing to participate in the tender can submit their relevant documents by September 24, 2026, to the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan, located at 52 Archabil Avenue, Ashgabat.

The establishment of new refrigerated complexes will help expand opportunities for the seasonal storage of agricultural products, preserve product quality, and further improve the food supply of the domestic market.
