New consular fee rates for visa processing in the Russian Federation came into effect on October 14, 2026. The changes were approved by Resolution No. 1292 of the Government of the Russian Federation, dated October 2, 2026.
Under the new rules, fees for expedited visa processing — within up to three working days — have doubled for all visa categories except student and transit visas. The changes also apply to work visas and visas issued on the basis of a temporary residence permit (RVP).

Expedited processing: single-entry — USD 320, double-entry — USD 512, multiple-entry — USD 960.
Tourist visas:

Expedited processing: single-entry — USD 640, double-entry — USD 1,024, multiple-entry — USD 1,920.
Fees for other types of consular services remain unchanged.
The new rates mean higher visa-processing costs for people planning to travel to the Russian Federation for tourism, employment or other purposes. Applicants are therefore advised to check the applicable fees for their visa category and processing time before submitting their documents.
