Snowfall has begun in the Asian part of Russia and in the Ural region. TASS reported this, citing Marina Makarova, a senior research fellow at the Russian Hydrometeorological Centre.

According to the specialist, snow cover is expected to reach a depth of 1–5 centimetres in most districts of the country.

Marina Makarova also noted that an autumn-like transitional period is still continuing across much of Russia. Therefore, despite snowfall in some regions, it is too early to conclude that winter has fully begun across the country.
