U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that the Republic of Korea intends to invest up to $200 billion in major energy projects planned for implementation in the United States. According to him, these investments would be among the largest investments in energy infrastructure in U.S. history.
Announcing the investment plan at the White House, Donald Trump stated that the projects would include the construction of one of the world’s largest gas-fired power plants, with a capacity of 6 gigawatts, in the state of Texas, as well as eight new large nuclear power plants.
In addition, a new pipeline is planned for Alaska to transport liquefied natural gas (LNG). According to the report, the pipeline’s capacity would be approximately 4 billion cubic feet per day.
The planned projects are aimed at developing U.S. energy infrastructure, increasing electricity generation capacity, and expanding natural gas transportation capabilities. These initiatives could also play an important role in strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector.
