The Asian Boxing Championship among juniors under 15 and 17 years old, held in Tashkent, the capital city of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was successful and productive for young athletes from Turkmenistan. At the continental championship full of fierce battles, members of our national team managed to win a total of 7 medals. While three of our athletes were awarded the silver medal of the competition, four of them stepped onto the bronze step of the podium.

🥈 Our athletes who won silver medals among juniors under 15 years old:

  • Arslan Rejebow (student of the 6th secondary school in Dashoguz city) — defeated his opponents in the weight category up to 40 kg and reached the finals;
  • Rustam Bahramow (student of the 31st secondary school in Turkmenabat city) — was awarded the silver medal in the finals through successive victories in the weight category up to 46 kg.

Among juniors under 17 years old:

  • Abdurahman Rejebow (student of the 19th specialized secondary school of Gyzylarbat district) — distinguished himself in the competitions and managed to rise to the second step of the podium.

🥉 Our athletes who won bronze medals among juniors under 17 years old:

  • Atabek Hojyýew (student of the 2nd secondary school in Charjew district) — in the weight category up to 46 kg;
  • Ezbermuhammet Myratdurdyýew (student of the 55th secondary school in Ashgabat city) — in the weight category up to 60 kg;
  • Ýunus Maşaripow (student of the 2nd secondary school in Dashoguz city) — in the weight category up to 66 kg;
  • Samir Saburow (student of the 38th secondary school in Dashoguz city) — in the weight category up to 80 kg.

More than 500 of the strongest young boxers from 24 states of the region participated in this prestigious continental competition organized by the Asian Boxing Confederation. The great victories and the set of medals won under such high competition conditions are clear proof of the consistent recognition of the Turkmen boxing school and the skills of our young athletes in the international sports arena.
