Starting April 13 of this year, a new toll schedule will take effect for the Ashgabat — Turkmenabat highway, one of the country's largest high-speed motorways. According to "Türkmenawtoban" Joint Stock Company, these changes are aimed at further enhancing the technical maintenance of the road.
What are the new rates? The primary adjustments apply to freight and large-scale vehicles. For heavy-duty trucks with four or more axles and trailers, the price per kilometer is set at 2.1 manats. For buses and trucks with two or more axles that are over 3 meters in height or exceed 3.5 tons in weight, the rate will be 1.36 manats per kilometer.
Importantly, rates for passenger cars remain unchanged. Drivers of light vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons will continue to pay 0.35 manats per kilometer.
Costs for Major Routes Under the new pricing, the full distance from Ashgabat to Turkmenabat will cost 1,260 manats for heavy trucks (4+ axles) and 816 manats for standard trucks and buses. For those traveling from the capital to Mary, the fee will be 655 manats for heavy trucks and 424 manats for other trucks and buses.
