A representative of Turkmenistan successfully performed at the 5th International Ecological Kurultai held in the city of Shakhrisabz, Uzbekistan, claiming first place in the "Best International Ecological Project" competition.

The 5th International Ecological Kurultai, themed "Youth – Creators of the Future," was held from August 10 to 15, 2026. The international forum served as an important platform for discussing vital issues such as environmental protection, rational use of natural resources, mitigation of climate change impacts, and raising the ecological culture of youth.

The kurultai brought together specialists, scientists, ecologists, youth, and public representatives from Central Asian states, as well as Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and other countries. The total number of event participants is reported to be around 1,000.

Oguldurdy Bayramova, a teacher-researcher at the Department of Ecology and Ecological Technologies of the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University, represented Turkmenistan at this international event.

As part of the kurultai, participants from various countries presented their projects aimed at environmental protection and innovative solutions to ecological issues in the "Best International Ecological Project" competition. Following the competition, Turkmen specialist Oguldurdy Bayramova won 1st place with her ecological project.

This success demonstrates the active involvement of young specialists and educational representatives of Turkmenistan in international ecological events, as well as the expansion of opportunities to present their innovative initiatives to the global community.

The international kurultai held in Shakhrisabz served as an important platform not only for exchanging experience on ecological issues but also for developing cooperation among representatives of different countries and putting forward new initiatives in environmental protection.
