A new opportunity has opened for Turkmen youth to pursue education and conduct scientific activities in higher education institutions and research institutes of Switzerland. The Swiss Government has announced the opening of applications for government scholarships for the 2027–2028 academic year.
Candidates meeting the relevant program requirements can receive financial support to conduct research work or pursue doctoral studies in Switzerland.
Candidates are required to hold a master's degree or an equivalent professional degree, be born after December 31, 1991, pre-agree on a research plan, and obtain an official letter of support from a research supervisor in Switzerland.
Under the research program, the duration of study or research activities can range from 6 to 12 months. The scholarship for doctoral studies is intended for a one-year term.
The financial support package includes monthly living allowances, medical insurance, housing rental subsidies, and partial coverage of travel expenses.
This program creates an important opportunity for research staff, young scientists, and youth preparing for doctoral studies in Turkmenistan to gain experience in an international scientific environment, master new knowledge, and develop scientific cooperation.
Candidates can submit the required documents electronically until November 27, 2026.
