On 2 November 2026, the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute will hold an online competition for students of the country’s higher education institutions entitled “The Aesthetic Harmony of Folk Wisdom in Chinese Calligraphy.” This is stated in the competition regulations.

The competition will begin at 3:00 p.m. Ashgabat time and will be held via video conference on the ZOOM platform. Students majoring in “Chinese Language and Literature,” as well as those studying Chinese as an academic subject, will be eligible to participate. Each higher education institution in the country may nominate six students.

During the competition, participants will be asked to write folk sayings and proverbs using calligraphy techniques, achieving aesthetic harmony in their written work. The assignments will be shared in the chat section of the online video-conferencing platform. Participants will have 45 minutes to complete them.

After the competition ends, participants must remain connected to the video conference and submit their completed work to kafedragundogar@gmail.com within 10 minutes. The submission process must take place in front of a webcam in the presence of the responsible teacher.

Information about the students intending to participate in the competition must be submitted in the prescribed format to the same email address by 28 October.

Entries from students majoring in “Chinese Language and Literature” will be assessed separately from those submitted by students studying Chinese as an academic subject. The jury will evaluate the entries and determine the winners.

The competition results will be published by 9 November on the official website of the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute: tdmugi.edu.tm. The winners will receive diplomas from the institute.
