Within the framework of the international exhibition-fair "Kids EXPO: Everything for Children" held in Ashgabat, the Turkmenistan Championship in "Anzan" mental arithmetic took place. Nearly 120 schoolchildren from various regions participated in this competition held among young talents in the country.
At the championship, schoolchildren aged 6 to 14 demonstrated their skills in rapid calculation and logical thinking. As a result of the competition, 24 participants were awarded prize-winning places. In addition, 5 students managed to set new national records in mental arithmetic.
Based on the overall results of the championship, the first place was won by Emrah Shamuradov, a 7th-grade student of the boarding school attached to secondary school No. 9 in the city of Turkmenabat, Lebap velayat.
The second place was awarded to Ibayim Kerimov, a 5th-grade student of secondary school No. 41 in the city of Ashgabat, and the third place was given to Kerim Gahrymanov, a 4th-grade student of secondary school No. 3 in the Sayat etrap of Lebap velayat.
Along specific directions of age groups, another 21 schoolchildren won first, second, and third places.
The main winner of the competition, as well as the teacher who prepared him under the "Anzan" mental arithmetic program, were presented with special certificates for a 7-day trip to Vietnam.
Participants who achieved success at the championship and the youth who updated national records were also awarded. On behalf of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, memorable gifts and laptops were presented to them. The students who authored national records received certificates for a 5-day holiday at the "Awaza" National Tourist Zone.
The holding of the "Anzan" championship is one of the events aimed at developing the intellectual abilities of youth, increasing interest in mental arithmetic, and identifying talented schoolchildren.
The competition was jointly organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, as well as the "Kämil bilim" and "Zehin ýoly" educational centers.
