Young singer Babagulych Annacharyev from Turkmenistan has earned the right to participate in the final of the 17th International Charity Festival “Белая трость” (“White Cane”). The international cultural event, which will take place in Moscow, will bring together young singers who are blind or visually impaired from different countries of the world on one stage.

On October 15, in observance of International White Cane Day, the 17th International Charity Festival “Белая трость” will be held at the Moscow concert hall “Moscow.” More than 50 young blind and visually impaired singers from 11 countries around the world will take part in the event. Turkmenistan will be represented by the talented young performer Babagulych Annacharyev.

Founded by the renowned singer Diana Gurtskaya, the festival has developed over 17 years into a creative project of major international significance. To date, this initiative has provided more than 12,000 talented children with opportunities to showcase themselves and pursue their artistic paths.

The festival’s main objective is to strengthen the self-confidence of children who need special support, develop their creative abilities, and open up new opportunities through music. A distinctive feature of the project is that it gives young performers the opportunity to share the stage with renowned artists.

This year, the festival’s gala concert will feature young talents alongside Diana Gurtskaya, Ani Lorak, Zara, Valeriya, and other well-known pop singers.

The festival’s qualifying rounds took place from February through September. As a result, finalists were selected from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, and the Republic of Srpska.

The participation of Turkmenistan’s young performer Babagulych Annacharyev in the final of this international project will not only introduce his talent to a wider audience but also help strengthen cultural ties among young people.

The “Белая трость” festival is one of the important international initiatives that celebrates the power of art to unite people and creates opportunities for every child to showcase their talent, build self-confidence, and strive for new achievements.
