Students, postgraduate students, and young scientists from Turkmenistan have the opportunity to take part in the 2026 A.A. Gromyko CIS Young International Relations Specialists Competition. Applications for the international competition are currently open.
The competition is organized by the A.A. Gromyko Foreign Policy Research Association in partnership with the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus.
The project brings together students, postgraduate students, young scientists, teachers, journalists, and researchers studying in social and humanitarian fields such as international relations, diplomacy, political science, economics, history, sociology, law, and philosophy. Citizens of CIS member states aged 18 to 35 are eligible to participate.
The main requirement for the 2026 competition is the preparation of an analytical paper. Participants are offered topics related to key international issues, such as forecasting the future security architecture in the CIS space, issues of national identity in the region, and opportunities for conflict-free interaction.
The competition includes several age groups and categories. Young scientists, researchers, teachers, postgraduate students, and journalists aged 25 to 35 can compete in the main category.
Bachelor's, specialist, master's students, postgraduate students, staff of higher education and research institutions, researchers, and journalists aged 18 to 24 can participate in a special category designed for first-time entrants.
The winners of the competition will be awarded valuable prizes. In addition, at least 50 participants will be invited to the final stage in Moscow, held at the Institute of Europe of the RAS and MGIMO. Travel and accommodation expenses for the finalists are fully covered by the organizers.
Those wishing to participate can submit their applications and analytical papers until September 20, 2026, at 23:59.
This project can serve as an important platform for young researchers and students from Turkmenistan to express their views on international relations, develop analytical skills, and establish international academic ties with young professionals from CIS countries.
