On February 11, 2026, a meeting was held at the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania, A. Annaev, and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Ms. Anna Tinca. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for the further development of Turkmen-Romanian relations. They noted that bilateral cooperation, based on mutual respect and trust, is developing consistently, and expressed interest in further strengthening political dialogue.

Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the economic and transport sectors, as well as inter-parliamentary relations and consular cooperation. The parties emphasized the importance of using existing dialogue mechanisms and confirmed their readiness to further activate them.

The parties also discussed multilateral cooperation and the international initiatives of Turkmenistan aimed at strengthening peace, security, and sustainable development.

At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further develop cooperation and continue the constructive dialogue.
