Historical moments unfolded for wushu enthusiasts in Tianjin, People's Republic of China, from March 23 to 31, 2026. The national team of Turkmenistan delivered an outstanding performance at the World Championship, which featured over 1,180 of the strongest athletes from 78 countries.
Turkmen athletes demonstrated high levels of preparation and resilience, winning a total of 3 silver and 4 bronze medals. This achievement is a clear testament to the continuous development of the Turkmen wushu school on the international stage.
One of the most exciting updates came from our region. Aylar Suleymanova, a 10th-grade schoolgirl from Secondary School No. 63 in the city of Turkmenabat, Lebap province, competed in the 60 kg weight category, fighting on equal terms with the world's strongest female athletes.
Our young athlete outmatched all her opponents on the path to the final, ultimately securing 2nd place and becoming a silver medalist of the World Championship. This success will hold a significant place in the sports history of not just her school, but the entire province.
A major contribution to reaching this height belongs to the experienced coach, Ruslan Choliyev. Under his leadership, consistent training and precise tactics bore fruit on the world stage. According to the coach, this is just the beginning of many great victories for this young athlete.
The "Amul Info" editorial team extends its heartfelt congratulations to our young schoolgirl, her family, and her coach on this historic victory!
