
Today, March 31st, a ceremony for the delivery of humanitarian aid was held at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Ashgabat. On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the King of Saudi Arabia, 25 tons of high-quality dates from the 1447 Hijri harvest were presented as a gift to the Government of Turkmenistan. This event, which has become a noble tradition, is part of the Kingdom's international program to support friendly nations.
The official ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Turkmenistan, Mr. Amer bin Ali Al-Shehri, as well as a representative of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Mr. Osman bin Rashid Al-Rashid.
The participants of the meeting emphasized the special importance of such noble deeds in strengthening interstate dialogue and cultural-humanitarian cooperation. During the ceremony, sincere gratitude was expressed to the Government of Saudi Arabia for this gift, noting that such a significant step is a symbol of the strong brotherhood and spiritual closeness between the two peoples.
Special thanks were also expressed to the Saudi side for their hospitality and high level of organization, providing all necessary conditions and facilities for the citizens of Turkmenistan during their Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages to the holy sites.
