Protecting national interests in cyberspace is a top priority for Turkmenistan. Guided by the Law on Cybersecurity and the 2025–2027 International Cooperation Program, the country is aligning its digital infrastructure with ISO/IEC global standards. Collaboration with organizations like ITU, CERT, and the OSCE ensures a robust response to modern cyber threats.
Education plays a vital role in this digital defense. Specialized departments at Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas and other institutions are training young specialists in cryptography, ethical hacking, and digital forensics. Using "Sandbox" environments, students practice repelling real-time cyberattacks and developing proprietary antivirus software, securing Turkmenistan’s digital future.
