
The World Bank has compiled a list of countries possessing large-scale freshwater deposits on Earth. According to the bank, Brazil is currently the leading nation in terms of freshwater volume, holding 5,661 billion cubic meters. In this regard, Russia ranks second with a figure of 4,312 billion cubic meters. The top five is rounded out by Canada, the USA, and China, respectively, with figures of 2,850, 2,818, and 2,813 billion cubic meters. Countries such as Colombia (2,145 billion cubic meters), Indonesia (2,019 billion cubic meters), Peru (1,641 billion cubic meters), India (1,446 billion cubic meters), and Myanmar (1,003 billion cubic meters) complete the top ten of the list.
