From March 24 to 28, the VI Open Mathematical Olympiad for University Students (OMOUS-2026) was successfully held at the International University for the Humanities and Development. Approximately 560 students from higher education institutions of our country and 9 foreign countries, including the UAE, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iran, the Netherlands, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, participated. Students from our country achieved the highest results, winning 33 gold, 69 silver, and 96 bronze medals (198 in total) in Categories A and B, as well as 2 gold, 5 silver, and 6 bronze medals (13 in total) in the group competition.
Jennet Jorayeva, student of the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute:
"In this Olympiad, we tested our knowledge and skills in mathematics, the fundamental branch of exact sciences. The competition was held in Category A for fields directly related to mathematics and computer technologies, and Category B for fields indirectly related such as engineering, technology, economics, and management. Winning a gold medal gives me great motivation to further enhance my skills. This Olympiad served as an important platform for exchanging experiences with our foreign peers."
