President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan on November 24–25. This was reported by Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov at a Cabinet meeting, according to Turkmen television’s “Watan” news program.

The Foreign Minister noted that the consistent development of traditional friendly dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation with neighboring countries is one of the priority directions of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy. Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan were established in October 1992.

Meredov emphasized that the fruitful interstate partnership demonstrates positive dynamics and covers a wide range of areas. A legal and contractual framework of cooperation has been formed, reinforced by 180 bilateral documents.

As the minister noted, regular mutual visits and high-level meetings play a key role in strengthening Turkmen–Kazakh relations. Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan effectively cooperate within authoritative international organizations, primarily the UN, supporting each other's constructive initiatives.

Trade and economic cooperation is actively developing, and the volume of mutual trade turnover is increasing. Great importance is also attached to deepening traditional cultural and humanitarian ties, the minister stressed.

Following the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Kazakhstan is one of Turkmenistan’s close partner states, and the two countries maintain relations of friendship and brotherhood. The head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to properly prepare for the upcoming visit.
