The Law of Turkmenistan “On Virtual Assets” Has Been Adopted
Starting from January 1, 2026, the Law of Turkmenistan “On Virtual Assets” will come into force in our country. The full text of the law was published in today’s issue of the newspaper Türkmenistan.
This Law regulates relations arising in Turkmenistan regarding the creation, issuance, storage, placement, use, and circulation of virtual assets, and defines their legal, economic, and organizational foundations. The document consists of 8 chapters and 43 articles, fully outlining Turkmenistan’s legislation in the field of virtual assets and establishing the main principles of state regulation in this area.
The adoption of this document is an important step in strengthening the legislative framework of the system aimed at developing all sectors of the national economy in harmony with the capabilities of the digital environment, which is being actively advanced in our country.
