The World's Tallest Hotel Opens in Dubai

Dubai (UAE) has celebrated the opening of Ciel Dubai Marina, a new skyscraper hotel rising 377 meters, officially becoming the tallest hotel in the world, surpassing the previous record-holder — the Gevora Hotel.

The project was developed by The First Group, with architectural design by the international firm NORR Group, and construction carried out in partnership with China Railway 18th Bureau Group.

The hotel features 1004 rooms and suites, each offering panoramic views of the Palm Jumeirah island and the Dubai Marina district.

Ciel Dubai Marina also set several additional records:

  • the Tattu Sky Pool on the 76th floor is now the highest swimming pool in the world;

  • the Tattu Sky Lounge on the 81st floor aims to be recognized as the highest lounge/club globally.

The opening aligns with Dubai’s strategy to expand its tourism sector. In 2024, the city welcomed more than 17 million international visitors, reinforcing its position as a leading global tourism hub.
