Turkmenistan national team rises five positions in FIFA ranking

Football fans have been presented with the updated FIFA ranking, compiled following the results of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, and other continental tournaments held in November. As a result, the Turkmenistan national team has risen by five positions and now occupies 137th place. Previously, our players were in 142nd place. The team currently has 1087.52 points in the ranking.

It should be recalled that the Turkmenistan national team defeated Chinese Taipei 3:1 in the fifth match of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifying cycle. This victory brought Turkmenistan closer to the final stage of the continental tournament. At the moment, our compatriots share first place in Group D with the national team of Thailand. The match between these teams, scheduled for March 31, 2026, will determine which of them will qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup.

The top three teams in the FIFA ranking are Spain, Argentina, and France.
