UNIDO Ready to Support Turkmenistan in Creating Environmentally Friendly Industries
The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has expressed its readiness to support Turkmenistan in implementing new high-quality projects aimed at establishing environmentally friendly industries. This was stated by UNIDO Director General Gerd Müller during a meeting with Turkmenistan’s Minister of Industry and Construction Production, Toyguly Nurov, held on Monday in Riyadh.
Müller noted that the organization can provide technical and advisory assistance, as well as recommendations for fulfilling tasks within Turkmenistan’s National Program for Socio-Economic Development for 2022–2052. This was reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Saudi Arabia.
For his part, Toyguly Nurov spoke about the development of industry and construction in the country. He highlighted the operation of cement plants equipped with modern technology, enterprises in the glass industry, and ongoing work on building a steel-making plant for producing environmentally clean steel.
A Turkmen delegation led by the Minister of Construction and Architecture, Abdullah Geldiyev, also held a number of meetings with representatives of the Government of the United Arab Emirates, the leadership of dmg events, and foreign construction and engineering companies.
