Updated Toyota RAV4 Under a New Name: Today the Toyota Wildlander 2026 Is Introduced
The joint venture GAC Toyota announces that the official debut of the updated Toyota Wildlander crossover will take place one day before the opening of the Guangzhou Auto Show — on November 20. The model has received extensive updates, including its exterior, interior design, powertrain, and driver assistance systems.
The vehicle is designed in the style of the Toyota RAV4 XA60, which is not surprising since RAV4 and Wildlander are “twin models” with very minor dimensional differences. However, the Wildlander is slightly more compact than the RAV4: its dimensions are 4600×1855×1680 mm, and the wheelbase is 2690 mm.
It is offered with three powertrain options — all similar to the engines used in the Chinese version of the Toyota Camry XV80. The base version comes with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 171 hp. There are also hybrid versions based on 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter engines producing 152 hp and 185 hp. In the future, a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version may also be added.
