Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max: Record-Breaking Sales Lead to Shortages
Sales of the new Xiaomi 17 smartphone series have exceeded the company’s expectations, according to well-known tech insider Digital Chat Station.
The higher-end models, Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, have taken the lead in sales. It is reported that these models are now facing shortages in many regions due to high demand.
The company’s new rebranding strategy and redesigned rear display have generated significant interest among users. As a result, these models have achieved major success in the market — not only as smartphones themselves but also thanks to the ecosystem of accessories that accompany them.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max has become the best-selling smartphone in its category in China, maintaining its leadership both in sales volume and revenue.
Since the series was launched on October 2, over 1 million units were sold within the first five days. Currently, total sales are approaching 2 million. According to the company, more than 80% of all sales come from the Pro versions.
Digital Chat Station is also known for having accurately predicted the launch dates and specifications of the Redmi K50 and Xiaomi 12 models in the past.
