Ashgabat — Dashoguz Highway to be Reconstructed: International Tender Announced

An international tender has been announced to реконструкции the Ashgabat–Dashoguz highway (546 km), including construction of a new bridge and rehabilitation of 9 bridges. Applications are open for 30 working days.
As part of the ongoing efforts to modernize Turkmenistan’s transport and communication infrastructure, the reconstruction of the Ashgabat — Dashoguz highway, which connects the country's northern region with the capital, is planned. The Ministry of Highways of Turkmenistan has announced an open international tender for the implementation of this large-scale project.
The construction and repair works consist of a total of six lots, covering various sections of the road and engineering structures:
- Road Construction: According to the project, the highway is divided into four sections covering a total of 546 kilometers (0–155 km, 155–285 km, 285–415 km, and 415–546 km intervals).
- Bridge Construction: One new modern highway bridge will be constructed as part of the plan.
- Repair Works: A major overhaul of 9 existing bridges along the road is planned.
Requirements for Participants Contractors wishing to participate in the tender can submit their proposals within 30 working days from the date of publication. Some of the main conditions include:
- Application Submission: An official application containing information about the participant's legal status and bank details (applications from companies registered in offshore zones are not accepted).
- Payment Terms: The tender fee for each lot is 1,500 US dollars (or the equivalent amount in manats).
- Documentation: Tender proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope, and their electronic copies (in Word and Excel formats) must be attached.
Note: This project is a vital part of Turkmenistan's strategy to improve the quality of interregional transport and expand transit-transport capabilities.
