In 2026, Ashgabat’s retail trade turnover is expected to reach 102.1 billion manats. Increased production of food and non-food goods, along with new shops, cafes, and restaurants, will further boost the capital’s economic growth.
With the commissioning of new retail outlets, cafes, and restaurants in Ashgabat, the volume of retail trade turnover is expected to reach 102 billion 109 million manats in 2026.
The share of non-state enterprises in the total trade turnover will account for 95 percent. Official Turkmen media reported this on Tuesday.
Furthermore, food industry enterprises are expected to produce 30,000 tons of dairy products (calculated in milk equivalent), 17,100 tons of confectionery products, and 50,500 tons of flour.
As noted in the report, the production of consumer goods is projected to reach 6 billion 985 million manats, with food products accounting for 45.4 percent and non-food products for 51.3 percent.
