A Conference Dedicated to World Wildlife Day Was Held

A meeting dedicated to the International Day for Biological Diversity was held at Turkmenistan’s Hydrometeorology Service. Under the slogan “Medicinal and Aromatic Plants: Protecting Health and Heritage,” participants discussed biodiversity conservation, sustainable use of nature, and fulfilling international commitments.
A conference dedicated to World Wildlife Day was held in the assembly hall of the Hydrometeorology Service of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan.
This holiday, established by the UN General Assembly, annually unites the efforts of the world community to preserve biodiversity.
As noted in the report, the motto "Medicinal and Aromatic Plants: Preserving Health and Heritage" was chosen on the occasion of World Wildlife Day.
During the conference, speakers highlighted the results of work carried out for the conservation, rational use, and sustainable reproduction of biodiversity. Participants also discussed priority goals for the coming years and obligations under international conventions, while exchanging experiences. Furthermore, it was emphasized that the work and scientific research conducted by scientists form the foundation for the preservation of ecosystems.
Employees of the scientific departments of Turkmenistan's state nature reserves were awarded honorary certificates and gifts in collaboration with the Center for Large Landscape
