Cargo turnover at the Turkmenbashi International Seaport approached 7.4 million tons in 2025

Cargo turnover at the Turkmenbashi International Seaport exceeded 7.3 million tons in 2025, marking a 15.2% increase compared to 2024. The national company Deňiz söwda floty transported millions of tons of cargo and over 170,000 passengers.
Between January and December 2025, the total cargo turnover at the Turkmenbashi International Seaport amounted to 7,316,326 tons. In this figure, the share of export cargo was 4,465,956 tons; import cargo accounted for 1,522,793 tons; and the share of transit cargo was 1,327,576 tons.
Compared to the same period in 2024, a growth rate of 15.2% was achieved in total cargo turnover, which is a clear testament to the successful implementation of Turkmenistan's logistics strategy. This was reported by the "Türkmenistan" newspaper.
Twenty modern vessels under the management of the "Marine Merchant Fleet" Closed Joint-Stock Company became some of the most active ships in the Caspian Sea. According to the results of January–December 2025, these vessels transported 2,454,106 tons of cargo, 20,267 vehicles, and 3,207 containers to their destinations.
The report also notes that the national fleet provided high-quality services to 170,162 passengers, increasing the reliability of domestic and international transport.
