SpaceX plans to launch over 10,000 Starlink satellites per year via Starship to accelerate global high-speed internet coverage.
SpaceX plans to expand the Starlink satellite constellation to over 10,000 satellites in the coming years. Elon Musk stated that the Starship rocket will be able to launch more than 10,000 satellites annually.
Starship’s high payload capacity will accelerate network expansion, increasing coverage and the bandwidth of the satellite internet service. Currently, Starlink serves over 10 million active users across approximately 160 countries and territories.
Later this year, the first Starlink version 3 satellites are expected to launch on Starship, providing gigabit connectivity and increasing network capacity by 20 times — a key step in global high-speed internet expansion.
