International relations in Turkmenistan's education system, particularly cooperation with the People's Republic of China, are reaching new heights. During the International Chinese Language Day held at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the current state and future plans for academic relations between the two countries were discussed. According to the Ambassador of the PRC to Turkmenistan, Qian Naicheng (Ji Shumin), the results achieved in this field are encouraging: - More than 9,000 Turkmen students: Currently, the number of young Turkmen citizens studying at China's most prestigious higher education institutions is steadily increasing. - Languages and Culture: Interest in the Chinese language continues to grow steadily within Turkmenistan's educational institutions. A new historical event in bilateral educational relations is expected next year. According to the plan: - Learning the Turkmen language: Students from Beijing Foreign Studies University will come to Magtymguly TSU for in-depth study of the Turkmen language and to gain practical experience. - Mutual Benefit: This exchange program will create broad opportunities not only for language learning but also for getting to know the cultures of the two nations more closely.
