Seasonal Agricultural Activities: Care for Wheat and Cotton in Focus

Yesterday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a digital working meeting, outlining several important tasks aimed at strengthening the country's economic potential and ensuring the comprehensive development of its regions. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the governors (khyakims) of the provinces. During the meeting, special attention was paid to the issues of agricultural crop care and the organized completion of cotton sowing. Following the instructions of the Head of State, work is progressing rapidly in the provinces in the following areas: - Preparation for the Grain Harvest: Irrigation and fertilization with mineral nutrients are being carried out on a scientific basis in the wheat fields. At the same time, the readiness of elevators and machinery for the upcoming harvest is under strict control. - Cotton Sowing and Care: Cotton sowing is in its final stages in the regions. In areas where seedlings have emerged, inter-row cultivation and other agro-technical measures are being implemented on schedule. - Food Abundance: Specific measures are being taken to increase the production of vegetable and melon crops and spring potatoes, as well as to successfully fulfill the cocoon production plan in the silkworm industry. Drawing attention to the implementation of the "National Rural Program," the President set specific requirements for the quality and deadlines of social and industrial facilities under construction in the provinces. "All work carried out under modern conditions must be scientifically grounded and serve to consistently improve the living standards of our people," the Head of State emphasized. Tasks Set by the Head of State Based on the results of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave specific instructions to regional leaders and the Deputy Prime Minister: - Strengthen preventive measures against pests in the fields. - Complete construction projects on time and with high quality. - Widely utilize the possibilities of modern technologies in management and agriculture. At the end of the meeting, the Head of State wished everyone great success in their work for the benefit of the country.
