An open handball championship for boys born in 2010–2011 was held in the city of Turkmenabat. A total of 79 young athletes from various sports schools across the region participated in the competition.
On March 28, 2026, the velayat-level handball championship for boys was conducted at Sports School No. 1 in Turkmenabat. This sporting event was organized to promote physical culture and develop this sport among the younger generation.

- II Place: The silver medals were awarded to the team from Sports School No. 4 of the Danew etrap. Notable athletes in this squad were Myrat Azizjanow, Maksat Azizjanow, Dowlet Jumakulyyew, and Mekan Nuralyyew.
- III Place: Another team representing Sports School No. 1 of Turkmenabat city secured the bronze. Among the medalists were Giorgi Margelitashvili, Nikolay Mishin, Umit Kurbanow, and Daniyar Hudayberdiyew.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the winners and outstanding athletes were formally presented with honorary certificates.
